Since, the parent company of DPD Local and DPD, La Poste, has invested in DPD Local’s infrastructure with a £15million Superhub in Birmingham that sorts up to 27,000 parcels an hour. While DPD and DPD Local share the same name, they offer different services and operate separately.

Should I Use DPD or DPD Local?

It depends on your needs and what you are looking for from the courier. They are both excellent parcel delivery services but as a general rule of thumb use DPD if you want to drop off your parcel or are looking for international shipping. If you need quick UK shipping and want the parcel to be collected then DPD Local is likely the better option for you.

Will DPD Local Collect My Parcel?

Yes, all DPD Local services booked through Interparcel include collection from any address in the UK. The DPD pick up can be scheduled from your home address or your place of work if that's more convenient.

Can I Drop My Parcel off to DPD Local?

No. DPD Local do not offer a drop off service. If you would like to use a DPD service but wish to drop your parcel off instead of waiting for a collection we offer several drop off options with the DPD services.

Can I Track My DPD Local Delivery?

Yes, all services booked through Interparcel include full online tracking from collection right through to delivery.

You will be given a unique tracking number at the time of booking that you can share with the receiver if you want them to monitor their parcels journey. A proof of delivery is also available once the parcel has been delivered.

How Much Can I Cover My Parcel For?

We include £25 of cover with every DPD Local booking. You can purchase additional coverage to a maximum of £1,000.

Some items are deemed as Restricted or Prohibited on our services so please make sure you read our Prohibited list to ensure that you will be covered.

To send a parcel with DPD Local through Interparcel it's really very simple:

1. First package your parcel carefully. We recommend using a good quality cardboard box and internal packing materials (like packing peanuts, bubble wrap, or newspaper) to protect the contents.
2. Measure and weigh your parcel carefully. All of our prices are based on the weight and size of the parcel, getting this wrong could mean you pay too much for your delivery.
3. Use our easy booking page to get a quote and choose your DPD Local courier service. We have a variety of delivery options available with DPD Local so just select the one that's best for you and your needs.
4. Once you book you’ll receive your shipping label which you should print out and stick on your parcel. All DPD Local services require you to have access to a printer.
5. Wait for your collection time and give the parcel to the courier.

How to Book a DPD Local online Delivery

To book a DPD Local parcel delivery through Interparcel in minutes:
