03 Incompatible Or Irregular Packaging

Cylindrical or irregular parcels, loose wrapping, straps, handles, protruding parts and outer packaging made from materials other than corrugated cardboard may require manual handling or may not be accepted.

04 Unstable Or Poorly Packed Contents

Empty space can allow contents to move and make a parcel unstable or top-heavy. Insufficient protection can also cause damage, delays, returns or additional handling.

05 Incorrect Address Or Contact Details

An incomplete or incorrect delivery address, postcode, recipient name, email address or telephone number can cause a delay, correction or return.

06 Collection Or Drop-Off Problems

A collection may fail if the parcel is not ready or nobody is available. At a drop-off point, a parcel may not be accepted if its label or QR code is unavailable or it does not meet the selected service requirements.

InPost parcel preparation advice

A few simple checks before collection or drop-off can help prevent delays, returns and additional charges.

01

Use Suitable Packaging

Use a strong rectangular cardboard box that is appropriate for the parcel's weight and contents. Avoid cylindrical tubes, loose wrapping and protruding items.

02

Prepare For Collection Or Drop-Off

Make sure the parcel is sealed, the label is secure and any QR code is ready. For a collection service, ensure the parcel is available when the driver attends.
