Weigh and measure every parcel carefully before booking. DHL may apply additional charges if a parcel exceeds 120cm × 60cm × 60cm, if the declared details are incorrect or if a collection or delivery is missed.

01 Missed Collection Or Delivery

This charge may apply if nobody is available when DHL attempts to collect or deliver the parcel.

Make sure somebody is available at the collection address.
Check that the recipient can accept the delivery.
Provide complete and accurate address details.

02 Out Of Gauge - Collected Services

This charge may apply to a parcel booked on a collected DHL service if it is too large for the standard automated handling system.

For DHL, this applies when a parcel has dimensions greater than:

120cm in length.
60cm in width.
60cm in height.

03 Out Of Gauge - Drop Off Services

This charge may apply to a parcel booked on a DHL drop-off service if it is too large for the standard automated handling system.

For DHL, this applies when a parcel has dimensions greater than:

120cm in length.
60cm in width.
60cm in height.

£29.99 Per Parcel

Fuel surcharge:
A fuel surcharge may also be applied to additional charges. Fuel is already included in the original price when the parcel details are entered correctly, but the applicable fuel rate can change weekly.

A few simple checks can help prevent missed-service and out-of-gauge charges.

Measure every side

Measure the packaged parcel at its longest and widest points before booking. Include any bulges, handles or protruding packaging within the final measurements.

Check the service type

Check whether you are booking a collected or drop-off DHL service. Different minimum out-of-gauge charges apply depending on the type of service selected.

Important DHL surcharge information

DHL may reweigh and remeasure parcels while they move through the courier network. Any differences between the parcel and the details entered when booking may result in additional charges.

Where DHL applies a surcharge and bills Interparcel, the original parcel sender will be responsible for paying the charge.
