This is the same great UK delivery service we already enjoy from DPD but now we can offer parcel collection from your door. We already know that our customers just love the DPD services we already offer and we are sure this new service is going to be very popular.
Who are DPD Local?
DPD Local is a sister company to DPD in the UK - for those of you that remember Interlink, this is them rebranded to keep both sides of DPD with the well-known name & brand.. Both companies are part of DPDGroup which is owned by the second largest postal group in Europe; France's La Poste. So you can be sure your parcel is in safe hands.
They have over 100 depots in the UK and Ireland and operate more than 2,500 vehicles. The brand new superhub in Birmingham can sort up to 27,000 parcels an hour so you can rest assured that your parcel will be delivered on time, every time.
Carbon neutral!
If you are looking to send a carbon neutral parcel then this is the service for you! DPDGroup take their environmental goals seriously and are committed to making every parcel they deliver carbon neutral, at no extra cost to you. They are doing this by reducing CO2 emissions from DPD vehicles by optimising routes, maximising load capacity and by using alternative fuel vehicles where possible.
Any remaining emissions are then carbon offset by one of their 6 offsetting programs across Europe, Turkey and India.
Clean & Green!
Along with their carbon neutral pledge, DPDGroup are committed to increasing their fleet of all-electric vehicles from 139 to 500 by the end of 2020 which will then mean 10% of the DPDGroup fleet is delivering clean and green!
DPDgroup really are leading the way in the drive for zero-emission delivery, in London they have 3 all-electric parcel depots and another 5 are planned.
Innovative technology
DPD Local are a really popular choice for UK parcel deliveries as their industry leading 'Predict' service sends a notification to the parcel recipients mobile phone with a one hour delivery window - no more waiting in all day for a delivery!
If the receiver isn't going to be in for the delivery then they can easily reschedule or arrange for their parcel to be delivered to a neighbour or a local shop. All at no extra cost or hassle to you.
Just make sure you include the receivers mobile phone number when placing the booking and let Interparcel and DPD Local take care of the rest.
Choice of services
The DPD Local Next Day delivery service is attractively priced and a perfect option for most shipments but we understand that sometimes time really is of the essence. If a morning delivery is essential then we can offer you the DPD Local by 12 delivery service and if you're really pushed for time then DPD Local by 10.30 will ensure your parcel arrives first thing!
All of our DPD Local services come with £25 of transit cover included to protect you against loss and damage. You can increase this up to a value of £1,000 at the time of booking.
Full DPDLocal parcel tracking
As with all of our courier services we provide you with a unique tracking number and offer full, online tracking that you can access day or night on our mobile and tablet friendly website.
All you need to do is sit back and relax; safe in the knowledge that everything has been taken care of.
