What is an HS Code?

Harmonized System (HS) Codes is a standardized numerical method of classifying traded products. It is used by customs authorities around the world to identify products when assessing duties and taxes and for gathering statistics.

From the 1st January 2021 it is mandatory for all goods going into Europe to have an HS code listed on the customs invoice.

We offer a handy look up tool and most commonly sent items to make this quick and easy for shippers.

We recommend entering an HS code for your products travelling outside the UK to speed up the customs clearance process.
