Parcelforce Surcharges

Avoid unexpected delivery charges by checking your parcel's weight, dimensions, packaging and address details carefully before booking. If the information you enter is accurate, applicable standard charges will already be included in the price shown.

Accurate parcel details help prevent additional charges

Weigh your parcel accurately, measure every side and use suitable packaging before completing your booking. Surcharges may apply if the parcel exceeds the service limits, requires manual handling or is not available when the collection driver attends.

Parcelforce packaging advice

Suitable packaging can help your parcel move through Parcelforce's automated network without requiring additional manual handling.

01

Avoid Cylindrical Tubes

Use a triangular or rectangular tube for rolled or long, thin items. Cylindrical tubes can roll from conveyor belts and may require manual handling.

02

Avoid Incompatible Packaging

Avoid excessive tape, shrink wrap, stretch wrap, fragile tape and external cable ties. Fill empty space so the contents cannot move and make the parcel unstable or top-heavy.

Customs information for international parcels

When placing an international order, complete all customs information accurately during the booking process.

If you include your own commercial invoice, the contents, descriptions, declared values and shipping costs must exactly match the information entered on the Interparcel website. Any discrepancies could result in delays or additional charges from customs authorities.

If customs charges are billed to Interparcel, the original parcel sender will be responsible for paying them.

Please see Section 12 of our Terms of Use for further information.
