DX Freight Surcharges
No one likes to receive an unexpected surcharge, this is why it is so important to be accurate when weighing and measuring your parcel. If correct details are entered at the time of booking you shouldn’t receive any unexpected charges as this is already calculated into the price. It is also important to look at your packaging as this can sometimes incur extra charges.
Collections / Deliveries
If you are not in and miss the collection or delivery there will be a £7 charge.
Once the order has been booked, DX will try and call the collection point as require verbal confirmation that the customer will be available for collection. If no answer the collection will not be attempted and the customer will need to contact us to re arrange collection.
Cylindrical items
Please note that cylindrical items are charged differently and incur heavy item surcharges as set out below based on volumetric weight calculations.
With cylindrical items, the calculation for volumentric weight is - 3.142 x L x W x H/5000
So a cylindrical parcel weighing 10kg and the size 300L x 30W x 30H would have a volumetric weight of 170kg
Out Of Gauge
If the parcel size is larger than 600cm on any dimensions, then an £80 surcharge will be levied.
*With surcharges there may also be a fuel surcharge added to this. If you have entered you parcel details in correctly fuel is already calculated in. The fuel surcharge can change weekly*
